A late summer blooming perennial which goes by many names. Pink Magic Lily, Spider Lily, Disappearing Lily and Naked Lady are some of the names this perennial bulb is referred to as. Appearing out of nowhere in late Summer the tall clear pink blooms are lily shaped and attract butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden. The leaves will appear first in spring, and then will die back. Be patient for late summer when the 3-4" lily shaped blooms will arise from the ground.

Pink Magic Lily (Lycoris squamigera) Planting Advice:

    • Plant in full sun to partial shade
    • Does best in rich well drained soil; amend soil with organic matter prior to planting
    • Plant 4-6" deep with spacing of 9"
    • Mark where the bulbs were planted since the leaves appear first and the blooms appear months later
    • Plant late summer blooming perennials or foliage perennials around the magic lilies to fill the void left when they are not flowering.
    • Provide mulch for winter protection if planted in hardiness zones 5 and 6

My dad would always tease my little brother and tell him there are naked ladies in the garden. Always fooled my brother. So in memory of my funny father I had to get some naked ladies for my garden. Giggle Giggle

Received more bulbs than I thought. That’s a good thing. Will let you know in the summer when the bulbs bloom.

This is one lily that never goes out of style. I have heard my parents refer to it as an old Spider Lily, but it still looks good in the flower bed. You cannot beat the price either.
