Looking for a color that's different from all the rest to add to your summer garden this year? Look no further than the Ovatie Gladiolus! The extremely attractive blooms of this mid- to late summer bloomer appear to almost glow amongst its lush foliage with its yellow, peach, and salmon colored petals. Not growing quite as tall as some of the standard gladiolus, this one will not topple as easily and also is much more manageable for cutting and placing in a vase!

**Old variety name Royal Class**

Pros:
  • beautiful
  • tall flowers
  • cut arrangement flowers
Cons:
  • long bloom time
  • have to be staked
I bought these last year and planted them, all that came up was the green stalks. I didn't know you had to stake them (its not listed in the care instructions), they all flopped over and died. I left them in the ground over the winter (Zone 8b) and they starting pushing new growth in April. They have finally officially bloomed in late June of this year.
Note- you HAVE to stake them, or the stalks will flop and you won't get any blooms.

Ordered the Royal Class Gladiolus because they were an unusual color. The price was a bonus for all that I got. A very beautiful flower and I can't wait for them to bloom.
