Bearded Iris

Bold, beautiful bearded iris bloom in late spring. Tall Bearded Iris grow 3' or taller, while intermediate bearded iris are great for border plantings and grow closer to 2' tall. Iris grow from rhizomes and do best planted in a sunny perennial border where the soil drains well. We suggesting planting bearded iris in late summer or early fall for best results.

If you like color, bearded iris do not disappoint and are available in almost nearly every color of the rainbow. Known to be reliable perennials, bearded iris also naturalize over time. Plant bearded iris with other late spring blooming perennials like peonies, allium, and oriental poppies for a blast of late spring color.
