Giant Allium (Allium giganteum) is the tallest of the large flowering allium with 4"-6" diameter, ball-shaped flowers. The Giant Allium adds a wonderful element to a garden and will even catch the eye of the non-gardeners! These huge flowers blossom the size of softballs with a gorgeous purple color and sway atop sturdy stems in late spring. These add great texture and look great when planted amongst other shorter plants.

These are so much fun! I am officially in love with alliums for my “cottage style” garden. They add height, interest and intense color. I wish I could upload pictures. These were late spring blooming for me in mid-Virginia & lasted a good month and a half. I left them standing past their prime color because their dried form is also striking and they stayed standing for a full month and a half past bloom. I now have another allium variety in full flush.
Bulbs are large, in great condition; looking forward to seeing the blooms.
I ordered 5 bulbs, 4 were good and 1 was moldy and decomposing. I planted them this fall so still have to wait and see the blooms yet.
It didn't look like the picture, baseball sized onion bulb. I am excited to see it bloom. Also bought 2 for 5, such a good deal.
Excellent service! One of the bulbs of the pack was dry, and I wrote to Holland Bulb Farms and they immediately sent a new pack with great bulbs. I am very satisfied with all my purchases, and looking forward the flowers.
