Alison Bradley Tulip is a stunning deep purple tulip with double blooms. This double early tulip is often also called a peony tulip since the large and showy blooms resemble a peony blossom. Alison Bradley is revered for it's use as a cut flower in fresh cut bouquets but also grows well in the garden.
Alison Bradley Tulip looks spectacular planted with other double tulips like: Finola Double Tulip, Mondial Double Tulip and Black Hero Double Tulip.

These tulips were one of the first to bloom (mid-June in Connecticut). On the shorter side but absolutely gorgeous. I love this double tulip for the large number of petals and the exquisite color. Beautiful in vases. And some of the tulips even had a second tulip in the same plant.
These were my first double tulips and I really enjoyed them. They looked great along with my other standard tulips in a vase. I don’t think they looked much different to the casual observer outside however. Color was fabulous.
I waited until this spring to write reviews on the tulips I had purchased last fall so I could give an honest review on the plants. They arrived looking average, little bits of mold here and there. . . ALL of them have come up this spring! The plants appear very healthy and beautiful! ALL have formed buds!
I found this color to be irresistible. I had already ordered all my tulip bulbs, or so I thought, but then I saw these and I had to have them! Ordered after the rest of my bulbs, but still arrived on time to plant with everything else. Really hoping these do well in the garden, they might be my new favorite!
So excited to see what will come up in the spring. The bulbs looked great.
