The 'Blue Jacket' Hyacinth is a great addition to any planting bed or border. A bright purple strip adorns the center of each petal with a silvery cast at the petal edges and tips. Try planting in front of yellow daffodils for a nice contrast. These bulbs grow approximately 10" tall in full to part sun and blooms in mid spring. Once blooming, make sure to cut a few to place in a vase for a fragrant, pop of color in your home!

Every single one planted this past October bloomed just as the temperatures started to warm up with spring approaching. There was 1 stem for each plant and it was about 8 inches tall. Gorgeous! I just wish the blooms lasted longer than 2 weeks.
Blue Jacket Hyacinth Jumbo Pack, 2023 I live in planting zone 5a; Holland Bulbs has my address as 6b. Therefore, all my fall bulbs were shipped in late October 2023, delayed due to a snowstorm, and arrived in November 2023 after 5-7 frosts and when the ground was frozen. During days the ground thawed enough to dig, all the Blue Jackets I was able to plant in 2023 grew in the spring. The remaining 3 bulbs were stored in a refrigerator crisper drawer and were planted in October 2024; I will update my rating if they prove to be viable.
I forced these inside in a glass bowl and ceramic planter. They are just blooming now. Mid March. Strong leaves. Deep purple flowers. Lightly scented. Very pretty. And healthy bulbs. Would buy these again.
All 15 bloomed, some much smaller than others. Pretty blue, lasted a couple of weeks with some color fade.
Chunky solid bulbs. Look healthy. Great price.
