Beach Boy Hosta is a new variety available to gardeners, developed in Holland from Darwin Plants. Beach Boy Hosta has thick leaves with golden yellow centers that stand out against the blue-green border. This hosta is a sport of Dream Weaver Hosta and very similar to Great Expectations Hosta, however is a more vigorous grower and has a thicker leaf than Great Expectations Hosta. The thicker leaves make it much more slug resistant. Hostas, are best grown in consistently moist soil and part to full shade.
