Shady Blooms Spring through Summer Collection

Brighten up your shady garden spots with blooms from spring through summer! With this collection you will have blooms from May through August. 

In mid-to-late Spring you will enjoy seeing the green foliage of Bleeding Hearts emerge from the soil. Shortly after pink heart shaped blooms will follow. Following the bleeding hearts are The Rocket Ligularia in early summer, with spikes of glowing yellow blooms. 

Mid summer brings blooms from Astilbe, which are popular flowering shade plants. Fanal Astilbe has red blooms and Bridal Veil Astilbe have white blooms. Be sure to keep your astilbe well watered as they don't like to dry out in summer. 

In late summer Chocoholic Snakeroot which is loved for it's chocolate colored foliage which has a fine texture. The foliage is a desirable feature, but the blooms of spikey pink/white are stunning in a shade garden. 

At the very end of summer and into early autumn Rose Turtlehead will bloom with pink rosy turtle head shaped blooms.
