    Plant Information

Orange Glory Dahlia is a wonderful Dinnerplate Patio Dahlia, with a compact habit and big blooms. Suited for container growing, as well as in the garden this dahlia tops out at 32". Don't let it's compact habit fool you though, you can expect large 4-8" blooms from this orange dinnerplate dahlia when grown in the proper location.

Dahlias are best suited to full sun locations with well drained soil. In order to get the largest blooms from your dahlias, you will want to remove the side flower buds. By removing (pinching) the side flower buds you will train your dahlia to grow one main large bloom coming from the central stalk. Feed with bulb booster to help increase bloom quality.

HBF asked for a review. Tubers looked good on arrival. I have planted them and hoping to have good results. It’s only May so hopefully will see them come up soon! This is my first experience with Dahlias

    Beautiful but…

    Pros:
    • Lots of flowers
    • Beautiful color
    Cons:
    • Not Dinnerplate size
    • Not exactly like the picture
Soo I was so excited to get this Dahlia because of the color and size. What grew wasn’t exactly what was shown.. similar but not exact and they’re DEFINITELY NOT Dinnerplate size either! They’re beautiful though and to be honest I’m not too disappointed. I’ll definitely keep the tubers for next year and possibly order more in the beginning of the season to see if that makes a difference tho I doubt it. If there’s anything to complain about it would be the size.. I wish they were bigger and I even did a lot of disbudding and still they weren’t that big.. I’d say about 3-4 inches in diameter if that. I wish I could add a picture to show everyone.

These tubers are huge and have at least 2 eyes per tuber. I am very pleased with these and look forward to seeding beautiful blooms later in the season.

They came in a plastic bag with wood shavings. I put them in the ground following the planting guidelines. A week or two later all three were peeking through the dirt. They are doing very well. I haven't fertilized any, only watered. About right inches tall with plenty of leaves. I planted them facing north with afternoon sun.

Beautiful plant - just not Orange or Dinner Plate size

I recieved the package quickly and got it right into soil when it arrived. The plant is thriving - unfortunatly - it is niether a dinner plate dahlia - nor is it orange. IMG_4080.jpg
