Fragrant hyacinths have an outstanding scent. The combination of colorful and showy flowers with the intoxicating fragrance makes these spring flowers a must-have. Fragrant hyacinths are the perfect flower for the front edge of a planting bed or border. Hyacinths are also the easiest bulbs for indoor blooms through the process of chilling and forcing.
Hyacinths should be planted in full sun to partial shade. Be sure the soil drains well, as these bulbs do not like sitting in wet soil.

The bulbs bloomed beautifully the first year. I am a bit disappointed in that I only received 2 colors--purple and light pink. When I ordered these last year I got 4 different colors. I was also somewhat disappointed in the much smaller blooms the second year despite good soil and fertilizer. I have had other hyacynths that have bloomed for many years and continue to bloom without added care.
Only 4 of the 5 pack bloomed, but those that came up were really gorgeous. Will buy more!

My hyacinth bulbs arrived very healthy. I planted them in my cement pots outside. 2 of them are just starting to break the soil. I can't wait to see them bloom.
