This is a crisp, tender textured lettuce excellent for your salads. Parris Island is a cos (romaine) variety and produces a uniform, cylindrical plant. Dark green outer leaves with pale green to cream interior leaves. The upright growth habit keeps leaves clean from soil. Prefers cool weather so early spring and fall crops are possible. Garden Tip: Lettuce needs about 1" of water per week. Water when needed for good growth. Control weeds while the plants are small.
