Ship Season: Spring

This vigorous organic fingerling has purple skin with purple flesh. Earthy flavor with a somewhat waxy texture and a low starch content.  To plant: Cut potatoes so that each piece contains 1-3 eyes. Plant with eyes facing upwards, in rows approximately 24" apart. When sprouts are 6" high, hill up the soil around them to 6" high and 24" wide.

  • Produces small-sized tubers
  • Great for roasting
  • Days to maturity: 90-110
  • Good storage
  • Darkest and deepest purple blue flesh, keeps it's color when boiled.

** Fingerling potatoes will start shipping in Late March to the warmest zones.

Cons:
Ordered these late. Originally thought I'd stick to the other fingerlings, but eventually I was won over by their strange but pretty color. Already leafing out. Now we wait a bit to see how they taste!

These were cut up and planted out. The color is mesmerizing and the seed potatoes looked great. All of them have growth, including the other 3 varieties and we look forward to the harvest.
