Protect and beautify your trees at the same time with this easy-to-use seeded tree mat. Clear the ground around your tree and set the mat in place. Within weeks you will have a bounty of shade loving flowers!

Simply lay out the mat in a partial shade or shady location and cover with 1/8" of soil. Water it in until it "melts" into the soil. Keep the mat moist until the plants have sprouted to about 2-3" high. Once established, just water when needed.
Get creative! You can very easily cut the mat apart to fit different garden sizes and shapes!

Seeds are a mixture of annuals, perennials and biennials.

Mat is 7 sq ft.

No shade at all for shady mats

Pros:
  • Easy
Cons:
  • Feeling guilty when boasting
I can't think of anything shady about the shady tree mats. They are great! You simply rake or till a little to prepare the ground, unroll, cut into pieces, place and put a little soil on top. Each one took me less than five minutes to get planted. I feel a bit guilty that so cool a garden can be had for such little effort!
