Premium Red Lion Rembrandt Amaryllis Kits. With GIANT 30/32 cm size bulbs will produce multiple stems and 6-8 flowers. Amaryllis kits make for quick and easy holiday shopping. Kits can be delivered to your home or can be shipped directly to the recipient. In a few weeks of planting, you’ll have a lovely Deep Red Amaryllis flower that can come back year after year. May take up to 6-8 weeks to flower.

Each kit arrives in a decorative holiday box and includes:

  • Premium bulb (capable of producing multiple, large flowers)
  • Terracotta-colored pot and saucer
  • Soil disc
  • Planting instructions

We will ship these on Mondays, to protect from the extreme temperatures.

*Shipping starts mid-November.*

Amaryllis kits come with a pot, amaryllis bulb and soil disc or bag of soil. For kits that have a soil disc water needs to be added to the disc to soften and expand the soil.

Add soil to the pot about ½ way up. Place the amaryllis bulb with the pointed end facing up. Add the remaining soil to surround the outside of the bulb. Leave the top 25% of the bulb uncovered with soil. Add water if soil is dry at the time of planting.

Amaryllis tolerate dry conditions but will benefit from regular watering especially as stems and buds form.

Amaryllis tolerate a range of light conditions and can be grown in a sunny location, but will also bloom in low light settings.

Expect 2-3 bloom cycles from the amaryllis bulb in your growing kit.

Once the amaryllis produces only leaves and no stems it is finished blooming for the season.

To get your amaryllis to bloom again:

After removing the wax from the bulb, cut off the leaves from bulb. Remove the bulb from the pot and soil it is planted in. Store the bulb in a paper bag in cool, dry, and dark location. Avoid storing the bulb in extreme heat or cold.

In late September to early October prepare to wake up the bulb for growth and blooms. Take the amaryllis out of the bag and plant the bulb in soil, add water and sun. Gradually expose the potted amaryllis to sun to help keep the growth balanced. Within 6-8 weeks new blooms will appear on your amaryllis.

I bought this for my mother in law as a birthday gift. She says there are multiple blooms and it is going great in the Houston area. Very pretty!

Pros:
  • Huge beautiful bulb
  • Attractive pot and saucer
Cons:
  • shipping delay
The bulb and kit arrived in perfect condition. The bulb is enormous, twice the diameter of big box store bulbs I've bought before. According to a note in the kit, the usual potting medium (coconut fiber) was replaced with a bag of dry peat due to supply chain issues. This was barely adequate; with about an inch of the moistened mix in the bottom of the pot, the remainder of the peat only came about a third of the way up the bulb. After planting the bulb two days ago, it is already showing small tips of leaves/buds. The included pot is very nice, terra cotta-colored plastic with a matching saucer. I ordered this and two other amaryllis the first week of November. The confirmation e-mail stated that deliveries for amaryllis would begin the first week of November, and that it would take 3 to 5 business days for delivery. I didn't receive the shipment until 12/13, despite contacting Holland Bulb Farms twice. The shipping delay is the only reason it's not an enthusiastic five star rating.

I ordered to amaryllis kits for friends. One recipient emailed me that the bulb had been damaged in shipping and he was going to contact Holland Bulb Farm. Shortly afterward he wrote that the company graciously sent another kit. Thank you for taking care of my friends!
