    • Priced a bit higher than expected .
My husband & I like to plants lots of bulbs for our large yard, even though it is hard to plant them via digging holes w/a spade. This tough though lighter-weight Drill makes a quick job for planting flower bulbs. It is sturdy, though not “heavy”. The plastic handle is smooth and easy to clean after jobs. And, the hex drill makes short work of harder dirts while making a perfect size hole for bulbs of most sizes. It is not too heavy for drilling, But!… it does not like lots of “Roots”.

Very good but could be better.

I've owned this for 2 years now. In most cases it works perfectly. The only time it doesn't is when it encounters tree roots like my Crepe Myrtle. My only con is that is isn't wide enough at 1.75 inch for many bulbs. It will cut a hole that is the right depth but not wide enough. i end up have to force the bulbs down if i can. Two inches wide and it would get 5 Stars.

    Awesome Hex Drill for planting!

    Pros:
    • Easy to use Hex Drill for digging holes!
    Cons:
    • None.
This hand-held Hex Drill is exactly what you will need for planting your bulbs and small plants. Sooo easy to use. Just snap it on your regular hand drill and add a little pressure to drill down “straight” into your flower bed or soil. Simple way to dig your holes for bulbs and not so much bending over to hand-dig those holes! Easy planting in quick time. - Just wipe the Hex Drill Clean and store for your next planting. We bought both the Large and the Small drills & love ‘em!

used this tool to plant baby balsams in a mix of ground type areas. the planter is heavy metal and not some aluminum or plastic material. the terrain is mixed wooded, rocky, grassy. worked well. only obstacle large tree roots but made good hole. now ordering the larger to use on some bigger trees.

I'm using this drill planter with a cordless drill and it's exactly what I needed. My yard is shaded with mature trees, so planting shade freindly bulbs has always been a challenge. But this drill bit is exactly the solution that i needed
