Ball dahlias are a three dimensional treasure of the summer garden. This Ball Mixture of dahlias have round ball shaped blooms with their petals displayed in a perfect spiral. Ball dahlias are similar to pom pon dahlias, however ball dahlias have slightly larger blooms. This mix is a very showy addition to your garden, as well as your cut flower arrangements.

These tubers were in great shape and the mix was beautiful. However none included in the mix were actually ball dahlias. There were two 3-4 ft decorative varieties that were orange and white. There were also some small mignon dahlias that look like mignon varieties in red, fuschia pink, and white with yellow and pink streaking (they are gorgeous), as well as some orchid variety of fuschia colored dahlias. I’m happy with the variety I receive in any case. I’ll look into getting ball varieties for next season.
Planted my daliahs promptly and within 6 weeks I have some 36 inch healthy plants. I'm just not sure if I was sent the right ones. They're starting to bloom but look more like yellow daisies. The flower diameter is about 1-1/2" . I'm sure that HBF will make it right. I will be emailing them a picture of what's growing.
Planted a couple weeks ago, hoping to see sprouts soon!
I have few surprises for order : 1) I order it on friday and recived it on next Tuesday evening . The bulbs were good size and tight. 2) the next day I planted it immediately , after three weeks , I can see not only plant grown feet also it has flower buds
The bulbs arrived well packaged and looked healthy. The first batch I ordered and planted did not yield anything, which was extremely surprising. I contacted the company and they honored their guarantee and sent a replacement of bulbs. They looked healthy as well, with growth on several of them. Let's hope they grow, I haven't had these issues with other bulbs ordered.
