Extend your spring with the Pheasant's Eye Daffodil (or Narcissus poeticus recurvus)! Literally one of the last daffodils to bloom, the Pheasant's Eye usually tops out at 12" tall, making it great for borders. It has a pleasant spicy fragrance and naturalizes readily. Great for cold climates and mountain regions!

This is such a fun find. I am generally not a daffodolil gal but, being a birder, and given the images on the HBF product page, I felt compelled to grab a pack. Now they are blooming and I am looking for more! Excellently packaged for safe travel and perfectly healthy bulbs.
Pheasants' Eye Daffodil bulbs looked healthy on arrival and I planted immediately in mid-January. Only one has started to emerge from the ground. I expect the others to follow over the next few weeks. (It's mid-March now) I do look forward to them! They are supposed to be on the late end of the daffodil blooming spectrum, so I am not surprised that they are a bit slow.
Bulbs look great! I'll post an update and photo when they bloom.
I planted some of these last fall and was so please in the spring...bloomed late and with a simple and old fashioned look so fitted my woodland gardens
My bulbs arrived well packaged and on time. I planted them the very next day. The leaves are showing themselves, healthy and strong - I can't wait to see these childhood favorite blooms as they arrive. Thanks for being such a great company - there is so much more in the packaging than one can imagine ??
