The bulb began to come to life shortly after it arrived and has put out two chubby bud stalks. Amaryllises are such fun to watch as they develop, and Holland Bulbs never disappoint.

As I have for several previous years, I made multiple orders of Amarylis, to be sent to separate addresses. Unlike previous years, I struggled to submit my order. I got no response by phone and after some initial trouble navigating the website, I found that the multiple addresses I use were on file so I didn't have to type each one out.

These were gifts, so I can't report on everyone's reaction, but the kit we ordered for ourselves has performed admirably. One other I did hear about complained that the bulb had moved in shipping and was trying to grow against the inside of the pot. They repotted it and now it is pointed up again and growing. The kit is pretty bare bones.

All that whining aside, I am still your fan and the Red Lion is looking good.

My mom loves these flowers. They are such beautiful gifts that keep on giving. These bulbs bloom and come back every year. Love them.

It’s slow in growing, so I really don’t know if it will bloom this year. It was a gift, so I’m hoping it will bloom.

Upon receiving packages every one of my plants were topsy turvy, thrown about like trash!!! Luckily the pots that housed these bulbs were in good shape.

I acclimated these bulbs to their new home & planted in rich soil & water thoroughly & now they are happy & blooming.
