These shoot up so fast! It's a lot of fun to watch them grow. They are the perfect gift for a person who loves flowers but maybe isn't great at remembering to water/care for them. :)

I ordered this after Christmas because a friend kept showing me pictures of the beautiful flowers on hers. Mine is just as beautiful. Just add a bit of water and you can almost see it grow. Four stars instead of five because the directions were lacking. (I worried that there were no drainage holes in the pot and it didn't say how much to water and how often. But I contacted Holland and they told me.) Next year, I'll order in time for Christmas.

I have started a tradition of giving my close neighbors and friends an amaryllis bulb during the Christmas holiday season. Everyone seems to really enjoy watching them grow and the magnificent flowers they produce.

I have sent over 10 amaryllis bulbs to friends and family this winter. It is always a pleasant surprise to the recipient. A bulb is a simple and beautiful gift that brightens up anyone's day! It's fun to see it's progress and growth.
