This fall, I purchased a ridiculous amount of bulbs in hopes for an amazing spring presentation. Every year, I only order from Holland Bulbs and it doesn’t disappoint. I also order for my mother’s yard as her Mother’s Day present. All the bulbs were healthy and nice.

Lovely flower, large blooms. Bloomed on 1st year! Sadly it was the only variety that didn’t make it to the 2nd year. And it’s gone.

I planted these is late fall in zone 7 (NJ). Fall disocunt pricing is hard to resist! The Rhizomes arrived in excellent condition, but were a bit dry. I soaked them for several hours in water with some fertilizer mixed in and planted them in 2 locations. I will update in the spring, but my guess is that these will thrive. Bearded irisis seem to be indestructible and I am also hopeful of seeing some blooms this year. Look for a spring update.
