Pros:
  • Beauty
  • price on sale was reasonable.
Cons:
  • It’s a HUGE bulb- need a big pot.
I bought one in 2021, potted it up and it grew into a beautiful lily with red leaves.

It’s large and stunning. I bought two more in 2022 to display around my garden.

I actually haven’t had a bloom on this plant yet, but the foliage is growing strong. It’s easily 4 feet tall and even without the flowers, the foliage is very pretty.

Crinum - waiting for it to grow

Cons:
The bulb arrived quickly and it was a much larger than I imagined . I dug a sizable hole in the yard and planted the bulb a few weeks go and so far I don't see any signs of growth. We are having a colder then usual Spring here in the SF Bay Area so that might account for its lack of activity . I think the coming week we will see more normal temps and I'm hoping I'll be able to offer some updates

Love this plant! My second year and am looking forward for this year. The plant is unique and I won’t mind if it were to never bloom.

They weren't kidding about the size. These bulbs are huge. We've just put them in the ground. I've seen purple crinum lilies in professional landscape around town and just had to have some. We're thinking of buying more.

The bulbs were well protected in the box- no problems or concerns.
