These bulbs came with HUGE Stalks so perhaps they are more like bare roots? Anyway I put him in a pot and I could see immediate growth pushing through the center of the top. But then they just stopped growing so I pulled up an article and it says that is typical of this species to sprout and stop. It says it can take months or even a year for it to begin growth because they are shy growers and very sensitive to being moved. They are pricey at full price but they are really big!! About 4 in across and over a foot tall.
