I bought the Apple Blossom amaryllis value pack in late February. I planted the three bulbs in the ground after the last frost in mid March in zone 8A in north Mississippi. All three bulbs are currently in bloom at the end of April, with two of the bulbs producing a single stalk with vibrant pink/white blossoms. The third bulb surprised me with two stalks, each with four blooms.
Oh my goodness! These are the biggest bulbs I have ever seen. Nice and firm bulbs too. I have planted them and they are currently starting to send up the flower stocks. I can't wait to see them bloom.
This is a truly beautiful flower that blooms profusely and quickly. One of my most favorite amaryllis varieties. The burlap sacks that each bulb comes in with an identification gift tag makes these a perfect low cost gift that anyone will love to have whether they garden or not. Very nice sized healthy bulbs. Very pleased with these.
Unbelievable deep pink and white gigantic blooms! I have never tried to grow amaryllis before, so I wasn’t sure how it would go, but these flowers are truly amazing. I hope I can figure out how to keep the bulbs alive and get them to bloom again next winter! I wish I could upload a picture for everyone to see how large the flowers are and the quantity of blooms! Stunning!
Apple Blossom are a staple because they survive my Zone 9 heat and freezes. These were healthy and large. They are blooming right now. Love 'em.
