This plant started growing very nicely. I expect to see lots of butterflies and hummingbirds when it reaches it full potential. Truly very pleased with this product and with the attitude of Holland Bulb.

Pros:
  • healthy
  • growing well
  • good service
Cons:
My first ever order of bare root plants. Ordered two of these. Arrived healthy with nice green shoots. One plant was smaller than the other. Planted right away and they are doing very nicely. The plant that was larger is now at least a foot in size! The other is not as tall, but growing just fine (it's currently mid-May). I'm excited to see the blooms on these (hopefully this year). Happy with these plants and Holland Bulbs!

Pros:
  • Unique
  • hardy
  • native
  • Rare
Cons:
  • Taller than expected
These are extremely hardy and look so great in my garden that I keep buying more. Culver's root is an extremely desirable prairie native and hard to find in a dwarf, purple color. This variety does get to about 48" in flower (36" foliage), so not quite as compact as stated. It flowered in its first year which was a lovely surprise.

  • Price and availability

  • A little small
I ordered 2 on separate shipments and the first order the plant was forgotten but customer service was great at sending another right away! Thank you!! Both were a little small but they are growing well now. I would buy again if I needed more.
