I realized somewhat late in the season that I wanted more milkweed. The ones I planted a couple of years ago were behind a tree and in front of a large Rose Of Sharon bush, both of which had grown out a lot, so were somewhat hidden. I wanted some out in a more open, sunny area. Everyone was sold out except Holland Bulb Farms. I immediately ordered 6. I was thrilled when they arrived. The roots were incredible! Before I knew it they were sprouting, all except one. They've already gotten fairly large, AND the last one has finally started sprouting! I'm so happy with these plants! The quality is awesome and their service is great. I only wish I could attach photos so you could see them.👍

  • Quick growth

Cons:
  • Difficult to tell which side was "up"
I bought three of these to add native plants to my gardens. I was impressed by how quickly they sprouted up out of the ground after planting! It was probably only 2 weeks or less! I planted them about 5-6 weeks ago at this point, and since they initially sprouted, growth has been relatively slow. But it has been unseasonably cool, so that could explain the slow growth. I think they'll be fine!

Pros:
  • Quality is superb
  • You can tell Holland vs local store
Cons:
  • took time to get
We had a super late frost so I was a little worried it hurt everything I had planted. However, we have been warmed up the last 2 weeks and my milkweed has just sprung up. I can not wait until it blooms and I have happy pollinators, butterflies and hummingbirds.
