I purchased two of these for my rain garden - one came up within a couple weeks but the other has not. I look forward to watching it grow and am excited for its quick growth so far.

Amazing!

Ordered these so long ago I forgot where I planted it. I became very aware which of my plants was the milkweed when I came out to find 10 beautiful happy, healthy monarch caterpillars munching away! I was so excited I tried to get more at a local plant place but couldn't get anything like this and was told people are buying up milkweed. I am determined to find my milkweed for my lil guys, but this has honestly been so great and I can't wait for them to turn in to butterflies. Great plant, grew healthy in California and attracted monarchs.

Pros:
  • Grows well in zone 4b
  • Beautiful blossoms
  • Pretty strong
  • Monarchs/Caterpillars love it!
Cons:
  • Nothing I can think of
I had gotten this last year because I had heard about Monarchs dwindling in their numbers and possibly becoming extinct so I thought I would try it out. They LOVED this plant and I was able to help 14 caterpillars that I found on the 2 plants I had fotten, grow and release them to butterflies! Soulmate is coming back up again, it's SO easy to take care of and the beautiful flowers that bloom just make this a remarkable plant to have in my garden along with my regular milkweed. SO WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Pros:
  • Fast growing
Cons:
I ordered 2. They were tiny when they arrived, but in just a couple months they are about 18” tall. Butterflies haven’t noticed them yet, but that may be normal. I’m excited to see what they continue to do.
