I have ordered many bulb gardens from Holland Bulb Farms. This one had beautiful daffodils and equally beautiful tulips. Unfortunately, the crocuses that were supposed to appear did not (just the leaves appeared). However, I am a loyal customer at Holland Bulb Farms because if something is awry, they always are understanding and make it right. I love sending these bulb gardens to my 90+ year-old mom who loves plants and misses gardening in the winter months in upstate New York. I also love giving her a little garden she can watch grow vs. regular flower arrangements that she will eventually watch die, and I thought it was important to give her something she could watch grow while grieving my dad's death. She loves these bulb gardens and some of the amaryllis I have sent her have even grown back, and also she can plant the gardens outdoors if she wants to (which I think she does because she keeps asking about the planting instructions). I'm grateful I've found these bulb gardens and amaryllis gifts I can keep giving her.
This arrangement was a pleasure and beauty to behold. Flowers came out around a week before Easter and continued to bloom. They are now just beginning to fade. The only thing...I wish the purple crocus would have been more in numbers. I only received 1 in the basket. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase.
I bought this potted bulb garden in early February and there were little shoots showing when I received it just a few days after I ordered it. I followed the instructions and the flowers started growing right away. It's been a month and the daffodils and tulips are still here. The little purple flowers bloomed first and are gone already, but for the two weeks or so that all three were in bloom it was stunning. The little bit of spring this plant provides before the actual spring season gets here is a lovely thing.
