These were more of an orange color with light yellow at the center of each petal, and there was only one stem/bloom per bulb. But they were gorgeous, especially with the sun shining behind them--they looked like they were glowing! Blooms lasted 1.5-2 weeks.
As the title says, I ordered these in January (I’m in Texas zone 8b/9) and they arrived a few days later. I opened and planted immediately (several of the bulbs had started to send up the green sprout) and now, early March, several are blooming. They look pretty cool with the 2 colors.
I bought these on a whim during an end of season sale in 2024 and raced to get the bulbs planted before winter. Good thing as our normal mild zone 7b winter was a doozy with brutal cold and tons of snow. I had little hope these survived let alone would do much of anything. I'm on a larger piece of land and the first bloom just opened 1/4 mile from my front door and WOW the color is a showstopper even at that distance: Vibrant. Pure. Big. This is late March and the rest of the pack is now ready to bloom - the anticipation is a thrill! I need more! The plants' foliage is healthy, plump and vibrant in color.
