Very large bulb that gave two large and one small flower stems. Each large stem produced four large flowers. The color was really unique, dark red with velvety looking under light. Very happy with it.

Pros:
  • Three flower stalks from the bulb
  • Beautiful dark red color
Cons:
I am so pleased with the Queen of Night amaryllis bulb. The large, firm bulb made it through what I expect were cold shipping conditions in December. The bulb now has two flower stalks in full bloom, each with four large blossoms. The dark red color is gorgeous! As an added bonus, a third flower stalk is now emerging from the bulb. What a surprise!

This bulb did not disappoint. With two bloom stalks, it put on a show with its large, dark red blooms. The bright yellow stamens added a brilliant pop of color to its centers.

Love the color!

Gorgeous deep red blooms

Rating:
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Pros:
  • beautiful color
Cons:
  • slightly sickly bulb
This bulb arrived not quite as healthy as many of the others I've received. It produced a single flower stalk fairly quickly after potting it, with a hint of another stalk forming. The first stalk of flowers grew fairly short and this bulb isn't labeled as a nymph. Much shorter than all of my other bulbs. The first stalk had 4 flowers and bloomed a gorgeous deep red color, just stunning. They are going to seed now. In the meantime the other stalk has managed to grow, albeit shorter than the first stalk, and has buds emerging from the stalk now and should open in a day or 2.
