The bulb came well packed. It sat in the open box on my table for three weeks before I decided on a pot. Planting was easy and I watered once or twice a week. A couple weeks later I saw growth and turned the pot when I noticed the stalk leaning. Two-three weeks later there were 5 large red blossoms on a strong stalk and another stalk coming up.
Lots of blooms on one bulb. Produced 2 flower stalks with 4 -5 flowers each. This one oddly all flowered at the same time rather than in stages like most. I'd describe the color as sort of a peachy orange. This one put off 25 inch stalks so prepare to stake them, I found it had toppled over one morning from the weight of the blooms and stalks.
Flower was darker than rilona should be so I suspect may have been Orange Sovereign, but the bulb was healthy and the flowers were so huge, 2 stapes with 5 flowers each that all opened simultaneously. The effect was astounding, wish I could post a photo.
Beautiful bulb already sending up lovely bloom heads.
Love the unique color of this bloom. It was easy to grow and budded immediately. I only had one bloom but it was beautiful!
