Outstanding blooms; large bulb size

The amaryllis bulbs I received from Holland Bulb Farm were some of the largest and healthiest bulbs I bought from a variety of online merchants. The Double Record amaryllis is a gorgeous double bloom with a slight tinge of pink throughout the petals. Easily the most beautiful amaryllis I bloomed all winter.

This beauty was ready for a show when a last minute freeze hit us and I lost her to the weather! But the bulb was huge and healthy and the bloom stalk was thick and sturdy for such a big set of buds. Due to forcing, I should have kept indoors, but it will be well settled for next year! She was about to be a real showstopper! Can't wait til next year. I do have one more planted in ground that is just beginning to peel out, so I may get a show this year, after all!

Performs with the most gorgeous blooms!

Was a little disappointed in the size of the bloom. I have has many of this variety and this seemed a bit smaller than usual. That said, the variegated color is magnificent and I would buy again.
