Burgundy and a bit small

Pros:
Cons:
These are sort of a medium size tulip. I planted these intermixed with the Miranda double tulip and the Mirandas are a much more large, fluffy, commanding flower than this one. Also these have come into bloom in a bit more of a burgundy color than a deep black, but I'm hoping the color will darken over time.

My favorite bulb thus far

Pros:
  • beautiful dark eggplant color
  • multiple blooms per bulb
Cons:
  • Super late blooming
I planted about 30 of these last fall and WOW! These were some of my favorites. Warning, they are the last to bloom--but so worth the wait. But each bulb already had multiple blooms! I highly recommend.
