The bulbs arrived with some stems still on, the roots were stiff and dried out. I’m not sure if that will affect the growth, however the bulbs were clean and fungus free so I am optimistic. They’ve been planted for about 2 weeks and I haven’t seen any growth yet but that’s to be expected I think, but I won’t know how good the bulbs are until next spring really.
I am a huge Holland bulb fan. I’m quite embarrassed by the total transaction dollar amount I’ve spent here. When you find a good supplier, you stick with them. These bulbs are healthy, large, and ready to plant. I can wait to see what spring brings.
So pleased with this Iris. The stalk has seven blooms on it and the color is a blueish purple that is true to my expectations. So pleased. Hopefully it will "rebloom".
This iris is unbelievable! It was planted late in very poor clay soil and it got too much rain over the winter. Despite all this, it came up right on time and the blooms were beautiful. I couldn't ask for more!
I received this iris last fall as a part of the German Reblooming Iris Collection. This one is the most vigorous and somehow managed to send out 6 separate fans this spring, and is the only one that's blooming so far this year (mid April in GA). There are 5 buds on its double stalk. I wish I could attach a picture - I am astonished by its beauty!
