These were also available at my local garden store, but were tiny compared to the bulbs I received from HBF. The foliage impressed me more than the blooms. I now love windflowers.
This is a plant or never grew before. I planted some of these around my mailbox and they were one of the first things to pop up. It turns out we're having a very early spring here in zone 8. The neighbors absolutely loved it and wanted to know what it was and I told them and where I ordered it from. I know they will be ordering some this fall to put around their mailbox too. Come to think about it I'll be ordering more to put around a tree on the side yard for next spring. These are just so cute and colorful!
...beautiful foliage, beautiful and long flowering, and does not require care, a welcome spring guest in every garden...
This flower was not familiar to me and the blooms are great! I almost forgot where I had planted them and thought the foliage was a weed! Thankfully I didn't remove it and was rewarded with cheery little flowers. All bulbs came up. They can be planted close together, as recommended on the webpage, because the plants are small.
These were very cute little plants that came up in later spring for me (I think late April/early May) they don't last a long time but provided some whimsy along a path in the yard.
