Actually grows in a bucket of water.

i received the bulb in perfect shape and planted it the same day. I followed the instructions on the package. The water lily already has three pads and I can't wait to see the red flowers. it is in a relatively small container pond, but I will move it to the larger pond if needed. Tuber was good size, kit made planting easy, easy to follow directions. Too erly to comment on growth and flowering as I just planted them.

I bought these water lilies and planted them in our small pool. I've never had lillies before. The food tablet that was supposed to be with them in the box wasn't there so I purchased some on Amazon. I planted them anyway before I had the tablet. It's been a week when I raised the from the depths to feed them and low and behold there were beautiful strong stems rowing. Can't wait to see them blooming. They were robust roots which I'm sure makes a huge difference.

I searched many local garden centers for pond plants and had no luck so I tried ordering from Holland Bulb. When I ordered my lily I didn't realize it wouldn't ship for a couple of months because they don't ship until it is time to plant (because I didn't read the fine print). I patiently waited and it did arrive in great condition. It's been in the pond for about a month now and is starting to grow and grow. I'm very pleased and would order again.
