I tried milkweed three ways 1 plant grown, bar root and seed. So far everyone is doing good only time will tell.
My root ( Butterfly weed) looked dried out and brown. The root weighed very little compared to it's size. I am going to container plant it, and nurture it in my is house green house. We shall see if it does anything....I don't give it much of a chance.
I bought the orange milkweeds a few months ago and still don't see any growth. I contact customer service and they are very patient and nice to help me with my problems.
I received a healthy root. Still waiting to see if it grows.
I purchased five of these plants so I could share. Of the two I kept, one came up quite nicely and continues to do well. I have hummingbird feeders and other plants to encourage butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees to travel through the yard and hoping this addition will provide more natural resources for them.
