Root was good. Well packaged….started growing soon after I planted it…would order it again!

I was very pleased with the quality of these bulbs. They took off right away and are very healthy looking. Can’t say the same for the few I got at a big name store. They haven’t even started out of the ground.

Received bareroot, soaked it in water for 30 minutes and planted it in a grow pot. Well within 2 days I had sprouts, 4 days leaves and within a week a 4 inch plant. Needless to say don't waste your time "potting it up", plant your roots directly in the ground and watch it take off. Can't wait to see if flower!!!

Perfection. Healthy starter. Grew the moment we put it in the ground, flowered immaculately. Would buy again and again in every color.

I have tried for decades to grow an Astilbe in Idaho. The two that I got from HBC are growing beautifully. It likely helped that when the bare roots arrived they already had growth on them! With bare roots I can't always tell top from bottom!
