We planted these stutgard onions last year, 2017, and they turned out great. We even had them last through the winter and are still using them. We let them dry till the stems were completely dry then wrapped them each in newspaper and put them in a cardboard box in a cool place, they kept better than any onions we have ever grown.

I couldn't even plant all of the onions because there were so many in the package. I read that the smell would help prevent slugs from devouring my zinnias, and I'm not sure that it's helping in that regard, but I am sure that I won't be buying onions at the grocery store this fall because they all seem to be growing.
