I planted very late - August - because I cleared out ferns in a shady bed and wanted to plant something more visually interested. Bulbs were large, and sprouting, and were up and leafed out in just a few days. Leaves are now HUGE and very beautiful. I was thankful the bulbs were available somewhat out of season. They are available locally in very early spring only.

Although they took 4-5 weeks to sprout, they are now adding that perfect softness to my terrace. It is their first year and so I am assuming that the leaves are relatively smaller than I expected. But they still have beautiful designs
