Arum Cornutum - Voodoo Lily

First - I bought two corms just in case one didn't make it and I'm happy I did because one was rotting when I took it out of the package. I tried to salvage it but it hasn't grown anything although it seems like it's still alive.
The other made it though, and I'm the proud mother of a giant alien spike that is beginning to grow and unfurl its ancient leaf from the mottled spear that emerged from the dirt some time ago. I am very pleased with this weird plant.

The voodoo Lily is a very fast grower and it grows really good in my hot Florida garden.

I ordered two of these and almost gave up because they took awhile to come up. Finally, they both did, but one inexplicably died. Anyway, the remaining plant is flourishing and is so unique. It hasn't bloomed, but I did plant it late in the season, so that's not Holland's fault.

Received tuber in good condition which grew quickly when potted and placed on patio. Exotic looking spotted stem with palmlike leaves are a showpiece attention-getter.
