Was searching for a red tulip to go with Apeldoorn's Elite, this one seemed perfect. Bulbs were delivered in excellent condition. I am very happy with the quality of all the many bulbs I have ordered from Holland Bulb Farms this season, and will definitely order again next year.

I successfully grew these back in my home in Virginia (zone 7b) where the weather is cold enough in the winter (understatement) and my non-green-thumb didn't sabotage them at all since it simply had to put them in the ground and do nothing at all after. They give large gorgeous blooms. But now in my zone 9 home in California, I learned, the hard way, that I can't leave the bulbs in the ground after they bloom otherwise they'll rot from the excess heat. They bloomed the first year, but not one come out the second year. I'll try again and make sure to dig them up after they bloom and store them properly till the next winter season.
