The liatris were part of the Perennial Sun package I ordered. I planted them immediately. They came up right away and they're flourishing in my garden. I'm looking forward to the blooms later this summer!

Great for sandy/dry

Pros:
  • Hardy
  • Forgiving
  • Takes a beating
Cons:
I ordered a lot of these. They arrived, I insisted them but didn't have time to plant. I didn't do a great job storing them for a few weeks and lost some to mold. I planted the rest in sandy soil and proceeded to water them diligently, forget them and leave them to the elements. Some days I find them water logged and drowning other days they were dry as a bone. Regardless these babies grew and grew and grew. Perfect for a distracted gardner. They make a beautiful contrast next to my orange daylilies.
