The Sugar Baby may be petite, but it is also mighty. Weighing 8-10 lbs. and measuring 6-8" in diameter, this is an excellent variety. Sugar Baby is an "icebox" variety with a strong, dark green ring and bright red, sweet flesh. Because of its small size, Sugar Baby can be grown successfully on a trellis.
Garden Tip: Harvest a watermelon when the bottom of the melon is a good yellow color and when the little curlicue, where the melon attaches to the stem, dries up.
